About CKS

The rest is history...

Fifty years ago a shy and nervous young lad just out of short trousers started work for a local firm of Chartered Accountants. Twenty years later he started R A Smith & Co in Leigh-on-Sea with two part-time staff. Some clients from 1983 are still enjoying the services of this practice, now known as CKS Accountancy Limited.

Director: Andrew Clarke

Andrew started work in 1975 and joined CKS in 1993 becoming a director a year later. He understands the pressures and demands of running a small business and so can share this knowledge with clients. He enjoys being in business and helping clients to enjoy being in business too. When not working, he likes to raise his eyes to the sky, mostly to look at planes but also to contemplate the issues of the moment. He has a very strong work ethic and believes in helping clients to grow their business. He has always worked at providing a quality personal service to his clients.

Director: Rashmi Raichura

Rashmi is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He trained and qualified with a firm of Chartered Accountants in Southend-on-Sea, then worked for a twenty-six partner firm in London. During this time he started building up his own practice from his kitchen table. He never wanted to be part of an organisation where clients and staff are numbers. He believes in looking after his staff and giving a good personal service to his clients. Out of this philosophy he created a practice that enjoys a good reputation. This practice, formally Alan Rush & Co. has now merged with CKS Accountancy Limited and will continue in practice as part of CKS Chartered Accountants.
